2020!

Completely over in the cloud

In 2019, we still had a local NAS that we were working on, but that is a thing of the past. All our files have been completely rearranged, optimized and cleaned and are now completely in the cloud. No more stress about the NAS and proper operation and associated updates (and sometimes even a tense crash).

We are getting more and more requests from the market to link systems, often with the Website or Web Application as an important (resource) point. We work on these types of links almost every day, so that, for example, your leads or references are neatly added to a map, or that an appointment made is scheduled and followed up automatically.

These are just two examples, but there are many systems you would like to connect, such as:

• A CRM system
• An Administration/Accounting System
• An Agenda
• A Spreadsheet
• A Vacancy System

2020 is, of course, the year of Corona. Tricky but certainly not unconquerable

Our agile work processes have probably saved us from a lot of down-time. More time with family and children also had its advantages, and we could use the time we had left for work in an acceptable way. Despite the fact that a number of projects and customers have lost a lot of speed and momentum due to the Corona, a number of interesting/unexpected new assignments came our way, and since June/July, the larger ongoing projects have also been picked up and completed.

Unfortunately, this did not apply to all competitors and a number of major local/regional (web) design agencies have run into major problems. We hope they get back on their feet in a different way, because there's nothing worse than having to see your company stop or drastically (10x) smaller.

Side Project

Outside our comfort zone and more as a hobby project, we were able to work during this period on a website for a Real-Time Strategy game called BAR. Combining a hobby and my expertise in website design is both fun and educational.

This “playground” makes it possible to discover new techniques and possibilities with regard to web development, 3D modeling, rendering and Webflow. And a nice detail is that we also generate money with it. See progress at www.beyondallreason.info
